Technology Rules....
Making Rules for using technology in the classroom is important to running a class effectively, keeping devices safe, and keeping students safe. Children are getting more dependent on having technological devices at home and at school. Teachers must find a balance between using devices in the classroom and banning device use. As long as devices are being used for appropriate research and school related functions, this is a benefit to education. The trouble lies where students do not use devices appropriately for education and get themselves and their school systems in a bad situation. All technology use should be monitored to ensure that it being used for educational gain. Technology rules do not have to take the fun out of the classroom. Teachers who honestly explain the reasoning behind such policies and discuss them openly create a reasonable expectation for student behavior and a baseline for enforcement that even the youngest students will understand.
